Which ever direction you turn your gaze the panoramic view from the property is absolutely breath taking, be it towards Montepulciano, Pienza, Radicofani, Mt. Amiata, Montalcino or Siena. The sunsets are some of the best we’ve ever enjoyed.

The warm welcoming atmosphere and the loving attention with which the estate has been restored make it an elegant and comfortable place. The Villa is surrounded by a large and well cared for garden with large shady trees, native shrubs and beautiful flowers.

The owners produce award winning 100% extra virgin olive oil and also organic pecorino (sheeps) cheese, which makes such a perfect companion to the local wines, grown from San Giovese grapes and now famous world wide.

ACCOMODATION: There are four apartments that sleep 4 people in 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, living room with fire place, separate kitchen and air conditioning.

There are two apartments that sleep 2+1 people in 1 bedroom with 1 bathroom and open plan living room with sofa bed and mini kitchen. These two suites were restored later and the owners did not install air conditioning because it is so rarely needed.

The down stairs apartments have a small private gardens furnished for dining al Fresco. All apartments have the use of a well equipped and very charming BBQ area with tables and chairs etc.

These apartments do not have telephones but there is good reception for guests own cell phones. They do have hairdryers and toasters.

There is a communal laundry with washing machine and ironing facilities.

THE GARDEN AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT: The pool is kidney shaped and well furnished with sun lounges etc. It commands the same wonderful views as the rest of the property. The gardens have large shady trees and local shrubs, lavender, rosemary etc.

Although Podere La Casanuova is walking distance from Castelmuzio, it is very private and not over looked by any neighbors.

Please note that there are 100 meters or yards of well maintained gravel drive to reach the property.

LOCATION: Podere La Casanuova is near to Pienza as well as with easy reach of most important Tuscan places of interest. The nearest airport is Florence airport, about 1 ½ hours and Pisa is about 2 hours. Rome airports are both about 2 ½ hours away.

The property is perfectly located for the great wine growing districts around Montepulciano and Montalcino. Siena is about half an hour and any where in Chianti is with in easy reach. Further south you can get to Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto in day or half day trips.

Please note that electricity is not included in the price because of the air conditioning units that are in some apartments and not in others and the fact that their use is rarely needed.

All bookings are from Saturday to Saturday except during low season when other arrival and departure days may be requested.

DEPOSIT: A deposit of 30% of the total letting price is payable at the time of booking.

BALANCE: The balance is due no later than 56 days (8 weeks) prior to the beginning of the letting period.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: A deposit of Euro 180 is to be left with the caretaker upon arrival. This money is refundable less a deduction for the cost of making good any loss or damage.

ARRIVAL: Unless other wise arranged guests must arrive between 4.00 and 8.00 p.m. and leave by 10.00 a.m.
