Day 1 Arrive Santa Margherita
Independent arrival in beautiful Santa Margherita where you will be greeted by your guide. In the evening you will join fellow guests for a typical Ligurian meal 'al fresco style' at a nearby local Ristorante.

Day 2 Natural Park and Promontory of Portofino Walk
Today's walking excursion takes you through the Parco Regionale di Portofino to the remote settlement of San Fruttuoso and romantic harbour town of Portofino.
Natural Park and Promontory of Portofino Walk - The walk is undulating with some steep ascents and descents, but will be no problems if accustomed to undulating walks. The walk between San Fruttuoso and Portofino town is a comfortable 1.40hrs hours and 1.30hrs between Portofino town and Santa Margherita. If the weather does not permit the ferry ride to San Fruttuoso you will do a loop walk to Portofino which will be a 3.5 hr walk.

Day 3 The Cinque Terre Walk
From Santa Margherita you will take the train to the 'Sentiero Azzuro', the renowned coastal path that links up all five fishing villages of the famous Cinque Terre. In 1988 the Cinque Terre was listed as a World Heritage under the protection of UNESCO.
Cinque Terre walk - the walk is 12 km and will take a comfortable 5-6 hours to complete. The walk is undulating with some steep ascents and descents but very achievable if accustomed to undulating walks (there is easy assess to the train or ferry for those that want a rest from walking).

Day 4 Transfer to the Golf of Poets (Fiascherino)
Morning ransfer to 3 star accommodation overlooking the magnificent Golf of Poets in the Ligurian town of Fiascherino; complete with a private beach.

A small fishing village with a pretty and tranquil cove, Fiascherino was once home to novelist and poet D.H Lawrence. Its charm provides magnificent outlooks and a quiet and relaxing environment. Today is a free day to explore your surroundings and the nearby seaside town of Tellaro.

Day 5 Lerici and Portovenere loop walk
Today's walk takes the scenic trail to the centre of the seaside village of Lerici.
From Lerici you will make the short trip by ferry to Portovenere where you can take time to wander its cobbled paths and narrow lanes and admire the tall pastel coloured houses along the waterfront. There is the option for further walking on the island of Palmaria which is a short boat trip from Portovenere.
Lerici and Portovenere loop walk - the walk is 8km, the walk around Isola Palmaria is an extra 5 km.

Day 6 Montemarcello Magra Park loop Walk
The natural environment of Il Parco naturale regionale di Montemarcello Magra makes for some of the very best walking to be experienced in this region. This excursion offers glorious panoramas of the vast landscapes of this magnificent region ranging from the Apuane Alps and river Magra Valley to the magic of the Mediterranean.

Day 7 - Departure
