Italian Immersions (originally Slow Trails) was founded by Darren Welch and Kerri Layton. Both share a passion for Italy, its culture, people, and in particular its food and wine. To immerse is our approach to travelling in Italy. As travellers we found two distinct and contradictory Italy's - one fast and touristy, the other slow and deeply traditional. No prizes for guessing which is more rewarding not to mention the one where you will experience the best tasting food and wine!

Consequently Italian Immersions has been formed to provide travellers with the finest of Italian culture through our select range of travel options. This includes guided visits to the best Italian wine-makers, cooking lessons in historic buildings and breathtaking countryside, unique walking and cycling excursions, and the opportunity to stay and immerse in our favourite places in Italy.
